Meredith a modern calligrapher from Tassel and Trim brand photoshoot

I have known Meredith for a few years and have always loved her work and personal style. I had the honor of photographing her for her The Scout Guide Orlando feature at my studio!

Meet Meredith, she is a modern calligrapher, designer and the owner of Tassel + Trim.

Meredith said her business started almost by accident. Hand lettering has always been a passion so she ended up customizing all the signs for her own wedding. She said she had so much fun doing it! Soon after, friends and family started asking Meredith to create customized decor for their own events and gifts. Before long, word of mouth began driving more and more sales.

Meredith makes a variety of hand-lettered signs, event embellishments. Things like place cards and drink stirrers, and even custom watercolor and line drawing artwork. Small things that make an event or your home more meaningful.

What sets Tassel + Trim apart is that as an artist. Meredith strives to not just make a product but make a memory for each customer. She puts intention into everything she makes — from concept to delivery. Meredith really thinks first about what that moment will feel like for her customer. Little hands photographed smashing the cake next to her first birthday topper or a pair of newlyweds waking up each morning to see the wedding venue watercolor that she drew hanging by their bed. These are the moments that she designs for.
