Meet Jodi! Jodi Krangle has been a full-time voice actor for over sixteen years, collaborating with renowned brands around the globe. Unlike many in the industry who are drawn to animation. Jodi’s passion lies in advertising, marketing, and branding. Over the years, she has honed her expertise in commercials, corporate narrations, and brand voice, specializing in projects that are under five minutes of finished audio. This focus allows for quick delivery in a fast-paced industry and ensures each day remains dynamic, exciting, and fresh.

Throughout her career, Jodi noticed a recurring pattern: voiceovers often come into play as an afterthought, added near the end of a project with minimal integration into the overall strategy. This led to a realization: how much more impactful could sound. Whether voiceovers, music, or sound design—if it were considered from the outset and synchronized with visuals from the beginning?

To explore this idea further, Jodi launched the podcast Audio Branding: The Hidden Gem of Marketing in November 2019. After more than 220 episodes, she has delved deeply into the power of sound, engaging with professionals in the audio branding field, creative directors at ad agencies, video production experts, marketing professionals, scientists, audiologists, musicians, podcasters, and voice coaches. This journey has underscored how profoundly sound influences our buying decisions and everyday experiences. After all, we can close our eyes, but we can’t close our ears.

To illustrate the importance of sound, imagine watching a movie without audio. While the plot may still be comprehensible, the absence of sound strips away the emotional cues that guide our feelings. Audio provides these cues, driving how we respond emotionally and making experiences memorable. In advertising, branding, and marketing, sound has the unique power to cut through visual clutter and connect directly with the audience’s emotions. Voiceovers are a crucial component that should be considered from the start rather than as an afterthought.
