Katie McCown, a certified educator in Florida. She holds teaching certificates in Elementary Education (K-6), Middle School Math (5-9), English (5-9), and Mathematics (6-12). With over ten years of teaching experience in the classroom, Katie has gained expertise in teaching students of different levels and backgrounds.

Throughout her career, Katie has taught 5th grade in an elementary setting and 6th, 7th, and 8th grade Math and Algebra 1 Honors in middle school settings. Furthermore, she led a Middle School Math Club for three years. It earned her team 3 first place trophies, 2 second place trophies, and 3 third place trophies.

Katie’s teaching methods have been proven effective. Notably, 100% of her Algebra I Honors students passed the state end-of-course exam, while 95% of her students passed the state assessment test.

In conclusion, it is apparent that Katie has a passion for teaching Upper Elementary and Middle school students. She takes pride in helping her students conquer Math and does so by utilizing her own creative teaching resources. As a matter of fact, other teachers have always asked to use her resources, which led to Katie publishing them for other teachers to use.
