Orlando Brand Session with Dr. Lori Friesen of Beginning Teacher Talk. At the core, she is a teacher and a learner. She loves to teach and especially to support and inspire new teachers so they can become the teachers they’ve always dreamed of being. But when she’s not teaching, you can find her exploring the world. She’s lived in and traveled in countries all over the world. At 18, she left alone with her backpack for Australia and although she had only planned to be away for the summer, she ended up traveling for three years.

The Fairy Godmother of teaching

Lori shares all the things about teaching that clients wish they had learned in university. She gives new teachers a streamlined, classroom-and-time-tested system to prepare for their first years of teaching that not only works, but that is guaranteed to remove the overwhelm. Lori always tell teachers that just because you’re a beginning elementary teacher, there’s no need for you to struggle like one. That isn’t just a tagline – it’s a promise.
