EMDR Therapist brand photo session

Marnie Davis is a shining star in the world of mental health! She came into the studio for a brand photo session with her cute pup Charlie. Charlie is a Yorkshire Terrier and a therapy dog in training. He enjoys going to the office each day and spending time with Marnie and her clients. Both in session and in the waiting room. Charlie brings joy to the counseling office and provides unconditional love and comfort to those who are hurting or to those who just need a little distraction while they wait for their session. In many ways, Charlie represents the healing process. He demonstrates compassion, kindness, connection and joy. 

With Marnie’s credentials as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, Certified Eating Disorder Specialist, and Certified EMDR Therapist, she’s a true expert in her field. Marnie’s specialized training in Brainspotting and Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction adds even more sparkle to her skill set.

Marnie’s also a dynamo in the Central Florida IAEDP Chapter, where she’s the current Continuing Education co-chair and has previously led in various board roles. At her private practice in Maitland, Florida, Marnie joyfully helps clients tackle eating disorders, body image concerns, trauma, anxiety, and more. Her approach, informed by Health at Every Size principles, celebrates body diversity and creates a warm, supportive space for healing.

She’s a seasoned presenter, offering insights on eating disorder treatment to other therapists. Her contributions include co-authoring a chapter in the 2nd edition of Trauma-informed Approaches to Eating Disorders.

Outside her practice, Marnie’s commitment shines through her roles with the Eating Disorders Network of Central Florida, the Alliance for Eating Disorders Awareness, and as a volunteer with the Greater Orlando Trauma Recovery Network. Her dedication to community service and social justice is truly inspiring.
